Reading Week will take place during Week nine of the first Quarter.
At TLA, instead of midterm breaks, we offer quarterly breaks at the end of each Quarter and each Quarter has nine weeks.
Please make a note of the following important dates.
Parent Orientation - October 3rd, 2020, 10:00am - 1:00pm (TLA General Zoom)
We suggest that those parents or guardians that cannot attend send a close family friend to attend in your place.
Most TLA activities will take place on the TLA General Zoom. TLA Zoom links can be found on the TLA website at the following link: http://www.wvleadership.org/zoom-zoom.
School reopens on Tuesday, September 15th, 2020, for orientation, with classes resuming on September 28th, 2020.
The TLA 2020 Graduation Ceremony will take place virtually via the TLA General Zoom. The Zoom Meeting link can be exclusively accessed using the address on the attached invitation and the button below it. You may also check the “TLA Virtual School” page on this website, for access to the updated TLA General Zoom link. Students have three different options for summer school this school year.
Curriculum Books (P.A.C.E., etc.) Testing, which include fee packages.
Online Courses, when taking an online course verification and access need to be given to TLA Administration in order to receive credit.
The Studio is a donation based summer program for academic credit & open to the public. It teaches students via experiential learning.
*Please be advised that graduating seniors must be completed with all credited work by July 31st.
On July 17th, 2020, The Leadership Academy’s physical campus on East-West Highway will be open from 10:00am - 3:30pm, for the following purposes:
Students will be able to drop off the corrected hard-copy of their Coursework, due on TLA Campus, July 17th, by 3:30pm.
Students will be able to pick up any new curriculum books required.
Students will be able to pick up any and all of their belongings left at the school.

The TLA Academic and Character Awards will take place on Monday July 13th, from 6:30pm-8:00pm on the TLA General Zoom. Access to this Zoom room can be found under the “TLA Virtual School” tab on the TLA website.
Oakwood Preparatory Academy is hosting the event, which will take place at St. Ambrose Anglican Church on the corner of Gladstone Road and Carmichael Road. Students will be transported from the school and back for the event.
This parent orientation will be for both new and returning parents.
New Parents : 10:00am -3:00pm
Returning Parents: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
This is a series of plays that take place at The Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts. The date range provided is the dates for the showings. We will give further updates on the exact date of the school’s field trip to view one of the modern Shakespearean plays.
