ADMINISTRATORS

Our administrators are all committed to student centered learning with strong home-to-school partnerships. At TLA we believe that a holistic education experience incorporates the involvement of students, parents and teachers.

We strive to continuously evolve our academic offerings as the world around us is ever evolving. We seek to develop students with a keen sense of purpose.

Our learners demonstrate their academic success beyond the measurement of traditional grades and transcripts. Each student and educator maintain a portal/portfolio which displays their academic growth from year-to-year.

We believe that administrators, teachers and students are continuously growing and learning, and in our environment we seek to do so collectively.

Our educators provide individualized and personalized assistance and service to each learner. Furthermore, our educators are partners within the tripartite relationship between student, parents & educator. Within this partnership our students serve as the chief executive officers of their personal academic trajectory.

Each student is on an academic journey, which we recognize as an academic career. Thus, our educators in their combined capacities act as supervisors of a student’s learning, with each student as the principal agent on his/her path. During “office hours” students work from their own personal office/cubicle.

In the role of advisor each educator oversees a small group of students who they assist with mapping out and achieving year-long, quarterly and daily goals. During their time at TLA, students map a post-graduate pathway along with their advisor and parents which guides the personalized strategies offered, to help them achieve their goals. This one-to-one personalized service allows for each child to succeed in his/her own right.

In addition to advising, each educator fulfills the role of academic coach assisting a group of learners/ learning cohort of students (similar to grades) within the educator’s area of speciality.
